Add a job site or workplace and configure its address and location check.

Add a project

A project represents a job site, customer location or any other workplace where workers record their working time.

  1. In the admin portal, open Projects.
  2. Select New project.
  3. Enter at least a project name. The project code is optional and can be used as an internal reference.

Search for and confirm the address

  1. In Search address or site location, start entering the street, building number, postcode or city.
  2. Select the correct address from the suggestion list. Entering text alone is not enough: selecting a result automatically fills the address, postcode, city, country and coordinates.
  3. Check the position shown on the map.
  4. If needed, click the map or drag the marker to place the check-in point exactly at the site entrance or actual workplace.

Tip: always verify the marker on the map. A postal address may cover a large building or site and may not match the actual attendance location.

Understand location checking

Enable Requires location check when workers must be physically present at the site to check in from the mobile app.

  • Latitude and longitude define the centre of the allowed area. They are filled automatically when you select an address or move the marker.
  • The allowed radius, measured in metres, defines the maximum distance between the worker and the marker.
  • During check-in, Presenco compares the phone’s location with this area. If the worker is outside the radius, check-in for the project is rejected.
  • When location checking is disabled, proximity to the site is not required for that project.

Choose a radius that fits the real size of the workplace and the available GPS accuracy. A radius that is too small may block a worker who is genuinely on site.

Restrict access to workers

Enable Restrict check-in to selected workers only if only assigned workers should be able to use the project. When it is disabled, the project is available to all active workers.

Review the information and select Save.
